It would help if you stopped reading advertising headlines and read real news. And no that doesn't mean Fox.
Unfortunately you're pissin up a rope with SGaynor. He's a bona-fide skull full of mush.

Yes, they've had them before Trump. And, they also had the ability to hit SK/Japan long before Trump.

But they still have them.

So, please - tell me why SK/Japan are "breathing huge sighs of relief?"

And, it doesn't really seem so, now does it? Maybe you should start reading more than my posts (and listening to more than the Orange God and Fox) and learn about what is going on in the world.

?That?s what North Korea wants,? said Brad Glosserman, a visiting professor at Tokyo?s Tama University, and a regional security expert. ?It wants these negotiations to grind out so long, that its status as a de facto nuclear state becomes essentially accepted in the world. That is one of its primary objectives, perhaps even more important than ending the (U.S.-South Korean) alliance.?

For neighboring Japan, Glosserman said the future direction of the talks could pose a grave threat.

?If these become arms control and nonproliferation talks, rather than dismantlement and disarmament talks, then you have a very serious problem with Japanese support,? he said.

Tokyo has been one of the strongest backers of the pressure campaign, though it has adjusted its stance as the mercurial Trump has shifted his position.

But Glosserman believes there could be a breaking point in Japan?s alliance with the U.S. if pushed too far on the issue.

?Are they going to go nuclear? No. But are they going to be very worried about U.S. commitments? Yes.? he said.

See? This is why I said "not Fox news" because I knew you were going to say something about Fox news and yet you still did it anyway.

I haven't had television since the 1990s. I listen to the NPR sissies on my 5 min drive to work, and usually will read the news (not opinion) section of the Washington Post then I'll browse the BBC if I'm truly fucking bored.

You're well aware with what's going on in the world then? Ok, cool. What does you being aware about it do to change anything?

So, why are Japan and SK breathing big sighs of relief? What has changed since Trump became President that they no longer fear a nuclear NK?

You haven't answered that question.

Didn’t SK and NK just have a few meetings together that hadn’t happened in years?

They can still hate each other. But talking is progress.

Lines of communication open for business. As I said, last presidents not even admitting to being played, Trump on the other hand, well, just watch, or just bitch.

Nothing to see there....until North Korea no longer has nukes SGaynor won't be satisfied that Trump could have possibly done anything positive. And even then he will cite conspiracy theorists that say that NK still has secret hidden nukes so Trump obviously didn't do shit, he's an orange cheeto, and he's a stupid moron.

So NK wants another summit to “speed up denuclearization’” huh?

I didn’t know photo ops were needed to dismantle nuclear bombs. Guess you learn something new every day.

It's really a shame Scott, do you realize how dumb this type of shit makes you sound? I'll call you on that, good troll.

AP - North Korea to allow UN Inspectors

You're right. Them asking for more talks means nothing, especially when weighed against 60+ years of historical seclusion.

Have you ever been to Korea? I have. Did you know that pretty much every bridge is wired to blow to stop the North Koreans? Most mountain passes - same thing - wired to blow and fill to stop the North from advancing. This image I'm posting - know what that is? That's wired to blow and block the road in N.Korea advances. Almost every overpass like that is wired to blow to stop North Korean advances.

That's the mentality there so yeah, for North Korea to be asking for more talks is a big fucking deal, no matter how much you hate Trump and don't want to admit it.

And here's one for the trains, in case trains are compromised and tried to use to move troops. The concrete in the foreground? Dragon's Teeth - designed to stop tanks and trucks from moving forward if the rail line is blocked, and to slow troop movements so they can be shot more easily.

Again, NK does not need our permission to denuclearize.

Do you understand the importance of open lines of communication? Strategic planning, progress assessment and more and more and more. Just admit you're wrong, damn.

As I've said before, Trump has talked with NK more than the last three presidents combined. Progress in and of itself.

Right. No one needs permission to do anything really so what's your point?

England didn't need anyone's permission to give up India but do you think they were going to do it on their own just because?

If you'd use your brain pan past the "I hate Trump and everything he does is BAD" you might also consider that a paranoid, isolated, exclusionist dictatorship, with little to no understanding of the outside world in any context, might also be worried that just "giving up nukes" could result in their asses being invaded and thrown in prisons.

Does that mean it would happen? No. Could a crazy fucking regime that's been an isolated dictatorship that would rather starve tens of millions of its own people than do a single thing to save them believe it could happen if they just "give up their nukes"?

Yes. And if you can't see that you're either simply trolling people or dumb. The entire reason they started a nuke program is for bargaining power. Good fucking christ dude.

Isn't China the main deterrent to an invasion?

Could be, to rational thinkers.

Missing from all this conversation is that North Korean leadership isn't rational, at all.

Plus China might be willing to let the South just have them if they wanted. I mean why would China want to take on 25 million brainwashed know-nothings who need to be coddled and fed like they're toddlers? And who literally, not figuratively, believe their leader is a God on earth?

That's not saying that South Korea wants them either, but NK clearly thinks that SK and the US want to invade them and take them over and possibly even genocide all of them. Remember - they aren't rational thinkers.

If NK thought China was a big brother protectionist figure they wouldn't need their own nuke program...

Your linear thought pattern is amazingly similar to that of my 3 year old.

Do you also walk around the house asking ?Why?? a dozen times in a row?
