Speaking of math.... I predict the market will close at 23,000 before Trump exits the office. I would say 25,000, but the cucked may stand in the way.

Well, the new administration is setting records. Normal tenure is 2.5yrs, even if a luke warm NSA.

On the upside ADM Harward is a superb candidate. Petreaus...well, whatever. The downside of course is that for those of you who have concerns about that whole civilian control of the military, that wouldn't change anything with regard to those dynamics.

I predict you'll see a lot of turnover in the Trump administration. Although Flynn was not predicted. At least not yet.

This entire Flynn situation is quite interesting. The beef seems reminiscent of Obama's hot mic in 2012 with Medvedev. Then there is the source of all the incomplete info.

A lot of turnover = chaos. And it seems that is Trump's management style - keep lots of little groups competing for his affection vs having a coherent team working together.

Not good when running the most powerful country on earth.

No one has commented on Miller? His interview with Stephanopolous was ridiculous. His way of "debate" was to yell the same line (lie) over and over. THOUSANDS were bused in to NH from MA (yet they apparently voted both republican and Dem in every other race (gov, etc.), just not for Trump)! And the "president won't be questioned" line was telling. (Doesn't he understand the whole checks and balances thing? Marbury v Madison?)

I always laugh and cry when watching ideologues (both left and right) in their 20s/early-30s spout off, like they know how the world works. Maybe in 15 years they'll learn it doesn't work in their simplistic vision - it's much more nuanced.

Then you've got Conway coming out saying Flynn has the full support of Trump. Six hours later, Flynn's gone. Good coordination there.

Apparently the NSC reads Trumps overnight tweets and then tries to formulate foreign policy around them. No problem with that right?

Can't wait to hear about the dysfunction in HHS (Carson), DofEd (DeVos) in the future with the heads of those two departments having zero management experience, let alone government experience.

These guys are definitely the JV team, maybe even the D-league.

Maybe, but it was the wisdom of the founding fathers to agree with it, as a further limit on the "Imperial" presidency.

But maybe Trump knows best (he's read the Constitution) and will just ignore MvM.

I don't think so. Use a persons skills sets until they're exhausted. Then move on. I think we'll see a lot of this.

Please. Name one organization that thrives on constant turnover.

Even in professional sports, where "Use a persons skills sets until they're exhausted. Then move on." is the norm, the organizations that are successful have a stable management team, and usually a stable core group of players, in place.

An opportune moment to point out what should be obvious for anyone that has ever taken a civics class:
government, and by extension governing, is not the same as business. That some people think they are synonymous is part of the problem.

Perhaps the Federal Reserve could at least take a basic business accounting course. Might do them some good.

Perhaps, though it is unclear what business accounting has to do directly with the Fed's responsibilities. The common refrain of 'if I ran my business this way (or if I ran my household this way)' has little bearing on how an economy works, it is a simplified distillation at best.

Indeed. Of course, most of the Board of Governors have taught basic economics from time to time.

True, often a difference between theory and practice.

That said, for my own edification-what exactly is the issue with the Fed? I ask b/c I get that some folks have idealogical reasons for not wanting it but it is hard to sit on a forum for luxury SUV's and bemoan the financial order (of which the Fed is just an evolutionarily evolved facet). Afterall, the absence of such evolutionary measures has-as history shows-been far more volatile, unpredictable, and usually worse for the majority of people.

High turnover in business is usually either due to temp labor for low-skill positions (Amazon), or a sign of a hot job market (Google). Neither apply to the White House. Organizations need stability where experience and skill are required to perform in demanding positions.
