I am looking for 4 or 5 (6 to 7.5 X 16 inch) Disco 2 rims to run 235/85/r16 tires with. Anyone in the South east have 4 or 5 they wish to sell?

Thanks in advance for your replies...

I am also up for a suggestion where a simple steel wheel or even alloy in those sizes can be found in a new set of wheels...

Unfortunately options are limited. 03’-04’ ‘S’ wheels or steelies from the likes of Rovers North, Lucky 8, Atlantic British, etc. for a 7” width. I’ve read many that have ran a 235 on the standard 8” wide Disco alloys without issue. A 235/85 isn’t much narrower than the 245/75 which LR ran on the Trek Discos with 8” wide wheels. I’ll likely end up with this setup

Story update... After getting my wheels from roverover and lovingly stripping them and sand blasting them and putting on 3 coats of primer and 3 coats of paint i took the tires to Discount tire here in town to mount up. They were ordering in my Falkin wildpeak at3 in 235/85/16. I left the rims with them so they could mount them up when they came in and i could just come over work and put them on Matilda... While in their care they let their recycle guy pick them up with some other scrap junk and my rims are now history...

I dont want to screw them but i need the narrow rim to mount up the 235/85/r16 tires that i bought for that 7 inch rim width...

To be honest however, i am slow to anger normally but it seems they only do something when i am over there looking over their shoulder.

Now i cant even find a place selling brand new 16x7 that fit a disco 2...

Why wouldn’t you want to screw them? Did you miss the part where they threw your shit in the trash? Really sucks considering how hard it is to even find 7” wide wheels

Yeah, it sucks, but mistakes happen. They didn't purposely try to screw him, so why would he try to do it to them? Fair compensation (replacement or replacement value) is appropriate. I've been on both sides of this in the past.

It is a Karma thing. When you get to be old like me you prefer a flat pond to one full of ripples...

For the record.
S wheels that came on the 2003 and 2004 are an eight as well. The Hollander Data Base and Car-Part.com unfortunately have them listed as 7 but after further research this is incorrect.

K-Rover was correct.
