Are you crediting Trump with a "win" because he merely kept his job? Are you "impressed" with an action that little to no one ever gave any credence to failed miserably? Keeping your job in the face of luducrous petition isn't "winning", it's merely...well, just keeping your job. If I sent your boss a letter saying "Daniel is dumb and you should fire him." would that be a big "win" for you if you were not fired? Come on homie - next you'll be giving Trump a "win" for merely taking a shit in the morning or attaining perfect punctuation in one of his "tweets".

Let me know when Trump, in the face of grave and imminent threat to his tenure in office by an overwhelming plurality of his opposition, keeps his office through cunning, decisive, and tactful action by himself and/or his "crack" team. He controls the most powerful deliberative body in the world, and he couldn't "win" a repeal of the Obamacare.

Ah, this week in the struggle to distract-its some deep state shit isn't it?

I actually wondered how you felt about this earlier today; state TV, I mean Fox, was on and there was some dude blathering about needing to clean house.

Which got me to wondering; who would backfill? Is it path dependency that the deep state is manned by educated, serious, conscientious folks who mirror the current basic demographics of the country? (& have read the constitution and such, a minor point I know).

The agent's professional reputation has been tarnished that's for sure; of course at the end of this he's just had as many affairs as his commander in chief has admitted to-so what standard are you trying to hold him to?

State TV? LOL, Well guess some more outlets including the WSJ are starting to get 'in step'. I don't know Ray. Will of the people I suppose. As far as back fill, if you use status quo you'd think it would be all complicated. Aldermen, city council, judges, DA's and more seem to do a pretty damn good job listening to their neighbors depending on where you live. Does it take a federal career politician to listen to your constituents and act accordingly?

Thus my Nomar comment. That's exactly how I looked, and talked, at 9am this morning for a couple hours. Almost exactly.

The will of Rupert Murdoch is a more accurate statement.

Maybe Franken should switch parties. Then he could keep his job. Or run for Senate in AL under the GOP.

WSJ editorial page; be specific-it isn't the news, it's the opinion side of the house. (& credit to them, they have a market cornered there for folks that recognize Breitbart/The Blaze/Inforwars etc is low brow. Basically Republicans that can read look to the WSJ editorials-good on them for capitalizing)

News remains news.

As far as the rest of what you said, I'm unclear as to where you are going with that-other than you effectively articulate where the gov't should play a limited role at the federal level on local affairs (something that is commonly agreed upon).

What you miss, however, is this reality that the Federal Gov't-for as much as you bemoan it-is the bipartisan result of the evolution of the country and its role in the world. Being the sole superpower and most significant economy comes with an inherent burden; somehow it seems folks think that magic will just address all that reality in the absence of qualified folks.
