To all you guys thinking about this motor........you are friggin crazy if you don't buy it. $4500 for a complete 300tdi already in the US? That's nuts!

You don't have to pay crating, shipping, customs brokers fees, dock fees, etc etc etc. Not to mention the headache. Trust me. Ive been through the process. I didnt know about Doug when I brought my engine in. I did it myself, and it was a learning experience. Next time I'll leave it to people who have done it before.

Trevor's 300tdi is a steal. You all are crazy for not jumping on it.

Trevor, you are crazy for selling it. Keep the D1 and toss that D2.

MOST states have a pretty simple methodology. If you title a vehicle in your state thats 1995 or older, they will not add it to their roster for emissions testing. If the vehicle was titled in that state since it was new, its on the roster and stays. Your individual safety inspections and such can still cause issues. Best chance of being left alone is to purchase a 1995 or older vehicle from out of state and then swap the engine. Any state that has switched to ODB only testing (like mine) pretty much ignores any vehicle older than 1995 now.
