This is a dumb question, but the fan clutch shouldn't be engaged at start up when the truck is cold right? And a normally operating clutch is easy to spin when the truck is cold, but should be harder to turn when the motor is warmed up, correct?
Also, has anyone ever heard of a bad VC fan clutch making a sound kind of like if you stick a card into a house fan type noise?
My D2 has developed a sound like I described above (card hitting fan blades) over the past week, but I haven't really had time to figure out what is making it because of school plus it's been raining all week here. It's coming from one of the components on the front of the motor, I'm just not sure which yet. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to hunt down whatever is making the sound, but I'm just seeing if you guys have any ideas...
