Info on Replacing Front Propshaft

Every so often, I will replace my nuts with Stainless Steel, nyloc nuts...They tend to get stripped with repeated "on and off". Maybe nice just to have a few laying around, just in case...I think they are 3/8" fine thread...

If you take the diff end loose first with two 9/16" wrenches, you can put the transfercase in "N" and use a 3/8" ratchet and wrench to get the upper side loose...

When purchasing the U-joints for this job, those with the zerks on the bearing caps, rather than on the trunnion are a better bet as there is enough clearance to actually grease them without any interference with the flanges/yokes.

the Dana number is 5-4X.
