Very strange issue here:
This applies to a 3.9 RRC (95), but since more people seem to be viewing this particular forum I am hoping for a more ready response here. This is rather disconcerting.
I drive home from work each day for ten minutes at about 60-70 mph. Everything's fine.
But for about the past month, the engine will idle at 500 rpm as I pull to a stop at the off-ramp, and then stall. The little red bulb depicting an oil flask will flash for about a second. Each time this happens, I shift into neutral, and the truck fires up just fine.
Oil level is good -- though I've noticed a drop or two, lately, on the pavement beneath the engine compartment each time I park for an extended period.
What could this be indicative of?
