Piece of mind

In bleeding my coolant system after installing a new 180 degree t-stat and some dexcool, a few turns in and out of the plastic bleeder screw, the top broke off. The plastic had seriously degraded. So I'm on the hunt for a new screw. So, I'd recommend replacing it on a regular basis. Piece of mind for a few dollars and a couple of minutes.

The stock ones, I think that is true. Such an LR thing.

These are works of art. Now I know what to save for.

The plastic pieces are only available with the hoses, wheter you go to rover or buy Uro parts, or another aftermarket brand, apparently.

On the above link, they mentioned a throttle body heater. Is another area of preventive maintenance? How long should the replacement plastic bits last? The aluminum ones should outlast the entire truck.

There are some subtle differences in the 2 Tees. Look at both the bleeder screws. One is beefier and does not use an o-ring or rubber washer it appears. More material in the screw head would allow it to be tighter and maybe seal better too.

I only got a year or 2 out of the TBH on my P38, same ones as the DII. If I had seen the Canadian one I would have tried that a long time ago. Sold now so it does not matter.
