Why is this site down so much? I am not an expert on the web at all so just asking? Nothing I go to is even remotely down so much.

The site probably has blown head gaskets, leaking front cover, death wobble, and worn tie rod ends.

I always thought the server was ran by a small love slave that stops pedaling the bicycle generator once the moderators leave for the Holiday.

"Bring out the dweb gimp."

"The dweb gimp's sleepin'."

"I guess you'll just have to go wake him up now, won't ya?"

Gee, I thought for sure it was related to the fact that the site is self-supported and not by advertising and as a result, sometimes it crashes and it's not the highest priority for those who host it, nor those who own the site.

I'm sure that if I operated such a site out of the goodness of my heart, I might not be inclined to jump right on it when it goes down.

If I wasn't in the middle of my first dispute with payapl, I'd run right there and give some more $ to keep the site going.

lol obviously theres not much money in it, and I have donated $ but good hosting is cheap these days. Not complaining but its a pretty easy fix and I'd be more than willing to help with a transfer to better hosting for some gimp time of course...

If you are the seller you loose no matter what. All money gets sent back including shipping. All the buyer must do is send the item back with a tracking number. They can even send back a box of turds and keep your parts.

Worse, I was sending some money to Elias for used parts and I sent the $ to the wrong address that didn't exist, caught the mistake and canceled it and now there's $100 in PayPal limbo and they've basically said they'll keep it for as long as they feel like.

I hate paypal with a passion, something happens every stinking time I use it.

I got the parts though ;-)

If that account does not exist you should be able to cancel that payment. If that email account is active then you may be in trouble. Or if you sent the payment as a gift you may be out.
I've had buyers send payment to the wrong email address before and they stopped payment with one click. The payment should state if it was pending or claimed. If pending you can cancel the payment.
