he should get out of the rover parts business because he clearly has no clue about whats what.

Under occupation you claim to be a wheelin know it all, Go ahead, tell them everything you know. It'll only take 10 seconds.

Wow, Tndiscofever you bit the bullet pretty damn fast.

I'll put my stock in Rob and Musky any day of the week. People like Nate and those who vouch for him....not so much.

Yet another comment from the peanut gallery. Nobody says that you are dumb. They just say you were sixteen years old before you learned how to wave good-bye. A guy with your IQ should have a low voice too!

Wow, In the Dweb world you just put a 12 gauge under your chin and pulled the trigger. You are done here.
As I recall you are the one that uninvited made the following comment",I can guarantee Rob knows what he is talking about. I think you are the one that has no idea and maybe you should peddle your shit elsewhere. " So you can make a comment like that and NOT expect a rebuttal??? I don't recall you having a dog in this fight so why do you feel you can attack me? Are you so dumb to think I care about what you have to say? You clowns attacked me for no reason, just because I supported Nate. The select few of you that jacked me up are getting what you deserve, always remember what goes round comes round. There's some good folks on here and then there's the jerks . If you can't take it don't dish it out boys.

Rich,
I'm already here at SCARR and I'd like to offer this:

We know Nate's customer no-service is shit. Neither me or you can fix that. His reputation is crushed no matter what we do.

However, I would like to put Nate's product to the Pepsi Challenge. Lets come up with a list of reasonable tests to help us compare Nate's product to other products on the market and test them. We know bumpers, for instance, are used for recovery either by dynamic loads, static loads, or winching. So one test can be to see how the bumper(s) hold up from various recover methods (do they rotate, do they bend, etc..) We don't need to plow a bumper into the side of a Tauras at 40mph to see which is the stronger bumper....only reasonable tests.

Then we'll look for quality of the product. We can, together, look at the welds, fit, finish, mounting, construction, etc...

Personally, I feel after this conversation you will understand what all the talk is about. Then again, maybe I'll be wrong and you can rub it in every ones face, including mine.

yes we are all dumb and you know the truth according to Nate...

come on buddy wise up a bit here.

Nate had BS'd his way into a corner in the rover world and the people here on dweb call people out on stuff.

Add into that when the product Nate does deliver does show up people then turn around and sell it at a loss because they dont want to bolt that crap onto their trucks when they see it up close and personal.

You can call all the names you like, people around here have heard all the names before. Nothing will change the opinions now that they have been formed by the community at large after seeing how Nate does business.

Now step up buddy, keep showing us what a class act you are, I have seen so many of your type come and go around here I cant even count. When you are all done with your antics Dweb will still be here and Nate's stuff will still suck !

Dan a Pepsi challenge would be fine with me, I've sold quite a few winch bumpers to friends that we wheel with. I've had 0 complaints and we really put our rigs thru hell at Dry Creek. If his stuff fails then I will take a harder look at his work. I hope you understand that seeing as I've had no complaints and see on Discoweb that there are several guys using all his gear and say they love it. I've read numerous threads about his service after the sale that people were more than disappointed but to be honest I've yet to see where anyone was truly dissatisfied with the product. if you can point me to those threads I will review them. I plan on being there Thursday evening if I get to feeling better, I think I have the flu or some kind of crud and feel like hell. We can give his rear bumper a test while I'm there, had to ahve one for my Disco I. Thanks for the comments, I appreciate you being civil in this matter, not everyone has been.

I really appreciated the approach Chapman took concerning Nate and his products. He took the high road, instead of bashing Nate he suggested a challenge. This is a good idea and I hope Nate will find the time and place to participate in such a challenge.

Now on to other business, there were numerous comments made that were totally uncalled for. If you're mad at Nate so be it, but that does not give you an excuse to attack me. Because a few of you got my goat I made some comments that I regret and want to express my sincere apology. Life is too short to waste arguing and fighting especially over the internet. It ends here.

"it ends here" seems to be a repeating trend in your posts.

funny thing about threads here on Dweb...you never really know where things end because Dweb never forgets. :D

Rich says nobody has complained about the quality of Bottdorf products. Where was the picture of the Bottdorf trailing arms with the dangerously sketchy welds?

Goddamn, I hope this character Rich shows up at SCARR. I can't wait.

wasn't there also some pics where the brush gaurd on a bumper wasn't even close to straight and maybe some more of how a bumper didn't line up.

Rich,
Other than the fact that 3 months after receiving them, they needed to be sandblasted and repainted, I have no problem with his sliders. On the other hand, his bumper is either a completely half assed design, or he half assed put it together, probably both.

Here's my bumper from Nate. Because of where he welded the light tabs on, I couldn't open my hood without the hood hitting the tabs. I had to cut them off.

So Nate sends me a light bar to bolt onto the front of the bumper, about 5 1/2 months after receiving the bumper. Needless to say, It was unable to be used.

There's large gaps, where he seeming either forgot to weld, or felt that where the frame mounts meet the bumper, dont need to be welded
IMG00042-20100717-1128.jpg

He also didn't feel that the frame mounts should be straight. This only added an hour onto installation, as I needed to break out a torch, a hammer, and a 8ft 2x4 to straighten it enough to fit onto the frame rails.
IMG00040-20100717-1128.jpg

And the mounting holes in the frame rail mounts didn't match the holes in the frame rails. And the mounting holes in the skid plate didn't match the holes in either the frame rail, nor the bumper.

There's more, but that's enough for now.

Nate's products have some serious design flaws.

Take his sliders with nerfs for example. The nerfs are too close to the slider. Therefore he is unable to get in the corner where the nerf meets the slider to weld. You are left with an open hole into your sliders.

Take his D1 rear bumper as another example. The side wings that are supposed to offer protection to the fenders, do not. This is because they are not secured to the frame at all. Nate's solution is to bolt the wings to the soft aluminum of the fender. That's piss poor design that WILL NOT hold up. Also, I've seen a few rear bumpers of his and none of them have the vertical corner gaurds(they take up the space left when removing the stock bumper endcaps) as shown on his website.

The welding and quality control just isn't there, either.

Ordering from Bottorf is like a box of chocolates...........
