I'm on the fence between this and RAW. Can't make both, was thinking about trying to venture a little further this year.

Depends do you like camping in the woods, drinking beer and liquor while wheeling with trucks of all makes and shapes? Or do you like hanging out in a hotel drinking tea and eating crumpets and occasionally driving down some dirt roads behind a designated group leader?

Actually, I've never been to RAW. But from what little I've heard and the pictures I've seen. It's more of a social Rover only event that's more about hanging out with Rovers than it is about wheeling.

See, I was hoping someone would chime in with this, bc I have no idea what RAW really is. I'm definitely far more interested in the former.

Plus, I just looked up the entry fee for RAW. That shit's expensive.

The entry fee is only the start. It's 120 for the event, 20 for the annual membership and then 133 + tax and tips per night for a room. So you're looking at $600 before gas, food or drinks. But it will be comfortable and cosy. Even cost aside did you read about the all trail rides will be guided? That also means no night rides.

I've always pictured it as being more for fancy rover owners.

What the hell is RAW?

Always enjoy Uwharrie - I'll be back whenever I get a little lift and some decent tires on the Disco. Will that new trail be open this year?

Rovers at Wintergreen.

The new lake view trail is actually an old trail that was closed a while back. The plan is to have it re-open by the 2017 season. The main focus right now is to keep Daniel and Dickey Bell open. Dickey bell will have some reroutes as well.

If anyone headed down wants to make some extra cash and drive some Hiluxes down to our course 1 mile from Uwharrie, please email me at garrettpsu1@gmail.com I need to get at least two of our 2009 Hiluxes down to a military class that starts on Monday. Otherwise I will have a shipper take them. Would rather get the money to some nerds here. They are ready to take down now from Orange, VA. I could meet you at our shop tomorrow (Friday) with cash in hand. I'll pay $300 for each truck (one way) and you pay for fuel. It's like a 4-4.5 hour ride down there from Orange. Will need to know by noon tomorrow and it has to be someone known here - not your half brothers uncle or that kind of deal. If I book before then, I will post back.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the hijack - sort of.

PS: Chance it might end up being three Hiluxes.

***Booked a hauler***
