Got to give Jeep credit, that thing is pretty cool. I agree it's too long to really technical stuff, but then again, that's a pretty small portion of the market. I see tons of lifted 4 door Jeeps around here with bumpers and winches. I'd wager that 90% have never seen dirt, much less have a need...

Now that these trucks are 10+ years old, how are they aging? Based on my research the 4.4L V8 is solid as is the transmission it's mated with. Suspension bushings seem to go every 50k or so. Seems like the early compressor issues have been largely sorted out. I'm aware of the dash cracking issue...

What...no takers for my ugly ass old bumper? Might not be pretty but it worked for a home build that cost me next to nothing.:D Hope the old girl is treating you good, Chuck!:seeya:

Oh boy....that spark plug doesn't look good!:ack: You can definitely run a bore scope in the spark plug hole to see what you can, but at the end of the day I think the heads are going to have to come off to assess the damage and see if the engine is repairable.

All of that is being consumed by work and kids!

Me too! Been wrenching on this one since it was new. Probably not a Disco, but I would like to have a Series down the road. I'm leaning towards give Toyota a try this time around and picking up a 100 series Land Cruiser.

I hate to do it, but it's approaching time to part with my 2000 DII. 107,7xx miles. Transmission was dealer replaced several years ago and has less miles on it. 2" RTE lift with OME shocks. DI SD rack with ladder. Genuine LR cargo mat. Home made steel front bumper. "Dweb" CDL lever down by the...

What model? The DI's are relatively susceptible to the ECU getting wet and causing issues until they dry out.

Finally got it sorted out this afternoon. To recap what I had done: Initially I had multiple codes so I changed the very, very old O2 sensors. This fixed all issues expect the misfire on #2. I tired swapping plugs and wires around to diagnose and the miss remained on #2. Next step was Seafoam...
