That's where I was getting my leak when mine went out. If you're already in there, you might as well deal with the head gaskets as well. Even if you took it to a shop, chances are they'd cut you a deal to do both at the same time.

Yeah. There are a couple sub-$100 ones on eBay too. I'll be taking my D2 on it's longest drive in a couple of years (LA to SD and back) this weekend so I wanted to see if I could grab a SG before leaving to monitor MPG, etc. I know it's a long shot, but it was worth trying.

How about the driver's side fuse box (under the steering wheel) for a D2, shipped to 91188?

Which fuse panel do you have? The one from under the steering wheel?

So the temp gauge in the instrument cluster never got above the mid-point? How do you know it overheated?

Just wanted to update this thread in case anyone has a similar issue. I replaced the SLABS ECU and my speedometer and odometer are working again. The red brake warning light is no longer illuminated. 3 amigos are still on, so I wonder if that's another issue down the line, or if it takes time...

Yeah, not really. It would probably be cheaper to buy one than to have one shipped.

I somehow ended up with 2 battery covers and it seems like such a waste to just throw it away. I'll give it to anyone that wants it...I work in Pasadena and live in the SFV.

Were you able to check out your fuse box?

x2 for brake switch. Cheap and easy fix.
