    Advanced Stuck in Park

Check to see if your brake lights are working. If your brake switch at the pedal fails you will be stuck in park and your brake lights will not come on. Ask me how I know

    Need advice. All opinions welcome

Looks like it already has a 2" lift of some sort, clean, decent tires and of course 4wd works. I would offer 2k and start having some fun.

    Need advice. All opinions welcome

I am on my second D1. I love the fact that it is so easy to work on which I do a lot, between mods, upgrades and general maintenance. Parts are relatively inexpensive. As long as there is no rust on the frame or body box sections, no matter the mileage, everything else is easily fixable.

    Salisbury brake line routing.

Hadn't thought of that. Deep snow would probably do the same.

    Salisbury brake line routing.

Just finishing up my rear disc brake conversion. The current axle brake line routing put's the hard line on the aft apex of the axle. Has anyone felt the need to route it on the top of the axle? Just seems easy to damage when having to back up in a rock garden. Well, you know, not being able...

    Willow green paint

Who cares what color the inner fender well is? Paint it with something bullet proof like POR 15. Sorry being a d!ck. But seriously if you want something that will last more than a couple rain/snow/mud sessions do it right the first time or you will be doing it again. Any paint shop can get...

    Opinions on Tires

It is 3in RTE springs with 1in spacers. RTE links F/R and Bilstein 7100's, it also has a 1.4 high range transfer case with Salisbury rear axle. I also raised the flares all the way up to the style line, really opened up the arches. Had to trim front bumper, both ends of the sliders and the...

    Opinions on Tires

Just got these installed. Milestar Patagonia M/T's 315/75/16. Made by Cooper. Haven't had a chance to try them out yet, but got them after I saw the Lite Brite review on you tube, and saw what they put them through. Same price as Nankang's but more modern tread pattern. All sizes available.

DI Brakes Just Not Good Enough

I got my front kit (vented/D90) from Tillery here and trusted that he knew better than me. Not a lot of mud here in CO but it does happen. Nice thing is the rear disc conversion has D110 calipers. I am glad about that now after seeing peoples experience with them.

DI Brakes Just Not Good Enough

That would be one axle. Also just curious about why most think that the solid rotor/D110 setup on the front is better than the vented rotor/D90 setup. Personally I think I prefer the vented here in ColoRADo just for heat dissipation when I have a 20 mile 6% grade on some of the highways here...

    ABS pump bypass help

Before anybody says just fix it, hear me out. I have a Sailsbury rear axle that does not have ABS so fixing it is not an option. I am doing the disc brake conversion on the rear axle and also the Defender front brake conversion on it this wknd. I would just like to remove the ABS pump since...

    97 D1 beast

With the 35's my speedo reads dead on with my GPS at 65. On my old setup with 33's it was about 5mph off. I know that the 4.7 gears will slow me down but it will be bombproof in the mtns.

    97 D1 beast

I believe that it is the same transfer case just with a different high range gearset. I had to refurb the diff lock linkage and did not notice anything different. I do know that with the 35's on it accelerates better that my last one did on 33's. And that is with the same engine. Haven't hit...
