This is the LR backed extended warranty. I got this directly from the LR dealership and the check was made out to Land Rover Portland. I didn't realize that LR wasn't calling the "shots" for warranty claims.

Do you think this has anything to do with the lift / tires or is the extended warranty company just looking for a reason to say no? The dealership says they are "caught in the middle" since the warranty company sent out an inspector who examined the issue and noted this on his report back to...

Lunchbox, thanks - that is what I thought as well. But the local car stereo shop said you need a special wiring harness to trick the system that the CD changer is working versus an audio ?A/B switch box? that I was thinking of using. Do you think this is true?

How's the background noise? Inside my '03 disco isn't the quietest place to have phone conversions but would love to install a handsfree system.

Honestly - save your money. I have an '03 Disco and that is the only upgrade / mod that I truly regret. It is really weak and offers little protection. Now I'm just waiting for the front bumper to finally get trashed enough to get an RTE or TJM bumper.

To be clear, you don't have to swap out the entire t-case from the '03 disco. You need the nipple which is part of the housing (I believe the housing comes in 2 parts), some like the "selector fork" and a couple other parts. I remember some past discussion where people retro-fitted there...
