Is the Homelink on the bottom of your mirror? I forget which year they made the change; however, the blank panel in front of courtesy lamp is where the original Homelink module used to sit. There is nothing up there that would impact your wipers.
It's not the pain.. It's the cost associated with packing the rack and the cost for transportation. I've seen these racks bent beyond recognition during shipping if not protected properly.
You can not access them; however, with an air compressor you can build a flexible end and feed it through each drain tube with the sunroof open. blast it with some air and see if they drain behind each from wheel. I would not pour water down them unless you are absolutely sure they are clear.
