i forgot to mention, when the pump fails, the abs light comes on first for a bit. then shortly after the brake light comes on. the fault stored is "stuck pressure switch" then the brakes gradually lose effectiveness.
New factory sealed pump assys. (pump. accumulator, pressure switch)
It never loses brake pressure (until the pump burns up) it sounds like its actually over-pressuring. You can hear the pump working too hard and then it eventually makes a high pitch "blow-off" like sound and continues...
My old 1999 P38, which I sold keeps burning up ABS pumps. I believe this is the 5th pump its burned up in the past year. Something is causing it to stick on. The ABS pumps have all been BRAND NEW pump/accumulator/switch assemblys. We have replaced the relays a couple times, put in a new fuse box...
1. I completely agree with having a no alcohol policy on the trails, any other way is just reckless in my opinion.

i agree with everyone so far keep the p38. as long as you keep caring for it, it will care for you. i had a d1 and sold it. bought my p38 and never looked back. the d1 is an awesome off roader. the p38 in my opinion is a better off roader in most cases (stock vs stock) especially with 4...
I pull a 18' tandem axle toy hauler with my RR 4.6 and loaded I guess its probably around 5500 lbs. It tows very nice actually, but I would not want to pull anything much bigger. I can cruise about 60-65 no problem on the flat, but slow down to 40mph on the really steep hills.

i got about 3.75inches lift over standard ride height with HD DII OME springs and 33" tires. after the lift about 36.5 to top of fender in the front and 37.75 in the rear (as pictured)
