    iPod Integration

Just an FYI. This 'hard wired' approach to the iPOD works great. I just followed the instructions in the hack and lo and behold I now have crystal clear sound! I've been dicking around with FM modulators and they suck. By far this is the way to go. I wired this into my 95 Disco without any...

    Poor idle, 95 disco

I had that problem on my 95 disco. It is the IAC valve (also known as the stepper motor) located at the back of the plenum chamber. Remove it and hose it down with carb cleaner. Squirt some in the hole and re-fit. All in all it is a 5 minute job. That should do the trick if not you might have to...

    245/75 R16 On Mall Crawler!

I'm informed that they are 9.8" wide. They are BFG AT's. I have them on my 95 D1 but I have a 2" lift on mine with MD springs.

    245/75 R16 On Mall Crawler!

I've an offer of some 245/75 16's for my Wife's Disco S1. However there is no lift on it. Being a chick she only goes crawling at the mall. Would I get away with putting these tyres on without any lift?

    d1 radio problems

I can confirm. I swapped the radio relay with another one and the problem is solved. Will replace the radio relay with a permanent replacement today. Does anyone else know what the other three relays are used for that are located behind the glove box? Left to right? I know the left most yellow...

    d1 radio problems

When you say lower the glove box, do you mean removing the glove box or the card that covers the footwell? PS My 95 Disco just developed the same issue.

    96 D1 is overheating! Help!

It could be the fan clutch but I would start with the most common issues. I had overheating issues and went through changing the thermostat, swapping the fan clutch, water pump, etc. Turns out it was the radiator that was blocked. If I were you I would pull the radiator and have a flow test...

    Cant Shift out of park

I had the exact same problem. Could not get my 95 disco out of Park. I validated that the brake pedal was not the fault and figured that it must be the solenoid on the gear shift. I replaced the solendoid but the problem persisted. I finally figured out (when I went to replace the solenoid) that...

    Broken Windows

I've had similar problems all be it on a 95 Disco. What happens is the nylon guide on hte window regulator breaks and the scissor arm that raises and lowers the window comes out of the rail attached to the bottom of the glass. You then end up with an uneven force on the window and it either jams...

    imagine this, a starting problem

Does the engine turn over or fire at all when it is hot? I had similar problems with my wifes 94 Disco. It had overheating issues and it also seemed to affect the ability to restart with the engine hot. It did go away after I took care of the overheating issue. Hers would fire but run really...

    Troubleshooting my cooling problems

Since you have the collant at 'boiling point' then you wil ldefinately get air into the system., It is possible that you have an airlock somewhere but the air and water sound is probably because the coolant is 'evaporating' thus you will end up with low levels and air circulating in the system...

    Smell Of Fuel

Andrew, I've not looked at the top of the tank yet. Will pull the carpet this weekend and have a look at the seals around the fuel pump. It's not been that hot recently, although it was during July, but everything was fine. I've just noticed it really bad once, and again slightly last night.

    Smell Of Fuel

I had someone suggest it might be the charcoal cannister that is 'shot' anyone had this with hte cannister before?

    Smell Of Fuel

I followed the fuel lines, checked the fuel filter, had my nose in some un-natural places in the Rover but nothing smells of fuel in or around the vehicle that I can tell. However there was a strong prevalent smell in the garage the other night. I might pull up the carpet anc check the seals...
