I had trouble with my '05 LR3 and the ambient air temperature and the low coolant level light. They replaced the reservoir. I think that there are still problems with the temperature sensor at times, but on the whole it seems to be working now.

Jonas, I noticed you mentioned that your LR3 dings once when you are driving around. I have the same thing, and finally discovered why. I park my LR3 in the garage which is always warm. So if the temperature outside is 39 degrees F or less, it takes a few minutes for the ambient air...

I re-read my message, and I wasn't clear. You are correct, they replaced the ambient sensor first. When the problem came back, they replaced the coolant sensor/bottle. They had ordered the new coolant sensor/bottle, but they got an old one, so they had to reorder it. Still waiting on the...

I had the same problem. It took a couple of trips to the Centre before they figured it out. They first replaced the sensor and when the ambient air temp went over 80 degrees, it happened again. They ended up needing to replace the coolant reservoir. There is a new part that fixes this...
