I know the feeling. I had misfire on #1. Turned out to be a blown HG through to the valley pan. Paid a ton of money to replace that, then 400 miles later she's pushing out coolant. I sold the truck after spending like 2 or 3 weekends with it trying to figure it out. I couldn't spend more...
Hi guys - since I sold the truck I still have this. Never got to try it out. It's the Meziere WN0071 thermostat housing, glowshift bleeder attachment with bleed screw, and a Stant 180F thermostat. All you need is a $10 BMW hose cut up to be complete. I actually bought the hose but ended up...
Nice - I like E28s but usually too rusty.
Yeah my '92 525 5 spd is my fun car, '95 525 5 spd daily, got a '95 530 5 spd, '87 325E sedan with M50TU swap, and '04 325xi auto
Yeah man - they're something I am way more familiar with and have tons of "extra" parts for. We currently have 5 in the household now 3 of which are the same chassis.
Hey guys - so, the update may not be as good as most would like to hear. After having spent the money on the HG repair to end up with some phantom issue I came to a fork in the road. On one hand everyone has been very helpful and definitely have the knowledge to help figure this out. On the...
LOL
I know the feeling. Honestly I've either been blessed, lucky, or stupid enough to think I've done right, but of like 5 - 6 BMW's I work on it's NEVER this hard. I must say, the vacuum bleeder is super nice - I did my older BMW with it just because. So convenient.
Sounds good Daryl. Yeah I dread the worst - always have with this truck. To me if the motor seems shot I'd jump ship into something a bit less flawed. I couldn't stomach putting another motor in it and potentially have the same/similar issue not that far down the road. I agree - I wish that...
I am not as involved as others but have seen this on other sites - people really need to just come to terms with what is important in life and everything mentioned in this thread is far from that.
Though I am sure you all know that. But still.
Ok that would work - I drove the truck today to work (25 mins or so). Upper hose is not rock hard, but the over flow tank bled off about 4 oz of coolant (I am catching it in a water bottle via a hose). Sloshing noise is less than it has been, but obviously it's not supposed to be bleeding off...
Hm ok I will keep on bleeding I guess. I haven't driven the car in a while and the battery was flat this morning. So, I guess I'll charge over night. And see what the deal is.
I am in Bucks County, like 40 mins north of philadelphia. You're quite west of me unfortunately. I am not sure if I feel air bubbles in the hoses, but I feel what I think is a burp of an air bubble every now and then at the overflow tank. I will get a video of squeezing the hoses. I am...
