My understanding of Sport Mode is that it raises the shift points, i.e. letting your rpm's get a bit higher before upshifting. If this is correct, then I would think what ExtremeMarine explains he does is opposite of what he wants? Cruising on the highway = Normal Mode, Towing, Passing = Sport...

I'd start with the spark plugs you need to do those anyway with your 60K service. If you still have the Champions in, they are done. Make sure that rattling isn't a drive shaft you'd be about due, with your lift, if you haven't already, you'll want to replace your front one with serviceable...
I don't know why anyone would what to do a trade, unless you offer enough to make it worth their while. Finding a used one from a '99 or '00 is going to be your best bet. It's nice to have, I think worth the trouble. Check with all your local salvage yards you may get lucky.

I just did OME springs and shocks last weekend ('00 DII) 763's in the back with 1" spacers.
With the sway bar disconnected and the shocks not yet installed I had to be careful not to stretch the brake lines. I ended up removing the calipers from the rotors, the springs and spacers slid...
