Sent you a PM. Seat is sold. If you're interested, JAT (www.jatdesigns.net) sells this seat for half the price of the ones at Atlantic British and the quality is excellent. They even ask for a tiny piece of your leather to make sure they match the color.
Rohan.
JAT Designs 3rd row folding seat. Matching Land Rover beige leather. adjustable headrests. In as new condition. Cost $1,000 new but I'm moving overseas and need to sell ASAP. $50 to a fellow Roverphile. This can be shipped via UPS.
Check out JAT's website at www.jatdesign.net if you're...
I think 3 are saved. Good for spares in case...
I'm not sure when the belts v chains were used. Not sure of the age of this motor, assuming mid-late '80's. I guess there was/is a company in U.K. who sells a chain kit for these motors to prevent this kind of thing happening.
Update:
Found a bit of a problem. I was told the push rods are the weakest part of the valve train, designed to bend to protect valves etc. I'm hoping that's correct (see below).
I'm thinking I'll make some interesting Land Rover art out of these. :D
$1,000
164k miles
235/85 AT tires
Rovertym 2+" springs (EAS totally removed)
Procomp shocks
Optima yellowtop battery
The story: I owned this car from ~Aug 2003 to Aug 2006. Made the above mods then sold it to a guy who put 10k miles on it then parked it with an apparent blown transmission...
I guess that's the first thing to do. The tester I have has the tapered rubber ends to seal into whichever hole you stick it in. Although at 400psi, I'm not sure i could hold it tight enough. I'll try to get an adapter and see what I get.
Thanks for your help everyone.
I like your thinking. I've put a new belt on and I'll check the clearances. I guess my compression is off considerably as I found a website that stated the pressure for a 2.25l diesel should be around 425psi:ack:
Oh well, we'll see I guess.
Thanks.
What kind of compression should I be getting from my engine? I don't have the correct size adapter to screw my tester in so I've only been able to hold the thing on. I'm seeing 200psi from 1 and 2 and 150psi from 3 and 4 but it's hard to get the tester on those back two.
The timing belt broke...
Sent you a PM earlier this month. Just received my timing belts from TeamLeyland.co.uk. Great service, super helpful.
Looking forward to being back on the road.
The ladder on the back of Carlos' RRC is a modified ATV ramp. It hinges on the rack to move out of the way when opening the rear tailgate and rests on the jerry can when down. The trip made me pine for my LWB RRC as the trail was so rough the second day that the Series was just plain...
