Well, it is often true that the most expensive things I have I got for free. On a serious note, bumpers/winch mounts etc for Jeep XJ body style are pretty darned close in size. Down here they are plentiful and cheap on the used market.

Check with Matt at Roadside Werx in Lakewood, while he is predominantly a Defender guy he parts Discos and P38’s etc. And he is a lot closer than Will.

I wired the glow plug relay to the CEL on NAS instrument clusters because I couldn’t get the glow plug indicator to work on the NAS cluster. I don’t think there is a pathway from the plug to the indicator on NAS instrument cluster. I wanted the glow plug indicator on my Disco, so I had them...

After having done the 300TDI on several discos, what I have found is that the indicator is present on the cluster but the wire positions on the plug, C 209 are different from NAS to Europe. On my 95 I got a European cluster, the cluster light stays on with key on but the glow plug indicator...

My two D1’s are currently dry. The gasser is the original box I think, 225k miles. The diesel is on at least box number 3. I put in my last good spare, pulled from a ‘96 D1 I parted 3 years ago. I have though of digging up a Int. Scout II box and trying that, they are an out side the frame...
