No, you can't blame the $2500 disco on anything but the open market.The cheap trucks were a problem long before the target market changed.

Any manufacturer has its problems. If we were worried about reliability, we would be on the Honda Accord forums, not a Land Rover forum. That being said, I know a lot more Land Rovers that were lemoned than Chrysler products. And there are WAY more Chrysler products on the road than Land Rover.

They certainly have their issues, but having owned many Land Rovers over the years, i'm not too worried. The biggest thing that drove me towards the Jeep was how much the Land Rover community sucks compared to 10+ years ago. The $2500 disco has ruined it.

As long as they used the right stuff, you will be fine. I did the same thing 10 years ago and they held up fine for 3-4 years til I sold the truck.

I wouldnt even go look at a Disco with a $5000 price tag in todays market.

yup. I got rid of my gas grill and haven't missed it once.

I don't know the book times on these jobs but that sounds crazy. I did my valve cover gaskets in an hour and I wouldn't think a front cover reseal is more than a couple hours.

Had time to swap out the injector with a good one this morning, and no luck. Still #3 misfire. Discostew, how would you check for a stuck valve?

By another, I just meant another thread about misfires since they are so common on these trucks. How would you test the injector in the car in 5 minutes? I should clarify - I replaced plugs and wires last month. I have travelled 1000 miles since then, and am now getting a misfire. 1000...
