i have to replace the lower steering shaft on my 06 . does anybody have any tricks or secrets at getting the f@#king thing out.

so i took my new to me 06 Lr3 to the diy carwash . upon leaving my SRS light is on . could it be i got a sensor wet and that caused it. when i first start it it goes out than back on in a second . can i reset this with my gap tool?
