I have a 96 D1. It would turn off at stops (red lights, pulling onto highway, etc.) unless I kept one foot on the gas and the other on the brake. Ended up being as simple as I needed a new battery.

Sir, you are right!! It has something to do with the oil pressure switch. After taking a second glance and wiping away all the crud, the oil is flowing from the pressure switch. I tightened it a bit but its still leaking so I'll pull it out and see what needs to be replaced. Thanks for all...

I'm chasing an oil leak. Currently I have oil all over the bottom of the engine, oil pan, oil filter, its getting on the exhaust manifold, etc. It is everywhere. I believe it is dripping down from somewhere just above the oil filter and then must splatering or getting slung everywhere else...

I had my expansion tank crack on me. It was right in the center where it looks like the top and bottom are put together. You couldn't notice the crack unless the engine was running and you could see the fluid spitting out of it. It wasn't bad at all to replace.

Sounds crazy, but on my 96 Disco, the engine would shut off when I came to a stop. It would crank up and get going again with no problem. Replaced the battery and it stopped shutting off on me and ran a lot smoother too.
