Pulled 1995 D1 into driveway about 6 months ago - battery and everything working fine. Sat dormant. About 3 months ago noticed no power to door locks or anything else. Assumed battery trickled down. Got around to jumping today. No power, no lights, no cranking - even after leaving jumpers...

It was indeed the wiring harness over the exhaust system that had melted together. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the lead, Rob! We will take a look. I wonder if that can explain why it works when under accessory power. That is the strange part. I've heard suggested that maybe a ground wire is the culprit.
