Thank you....
That senor was un-pluged. lets hope that was my only bone head move on this one. I will clear the codes and take it for a drive.
I used my old fuel rail rather than lego blocking adaptors together for the fuel lines.

Thanks again for more input on that pesky 100 amp fuse. Rick at the altinator rebuild shop suggested pretty much the same things you all have as to why that fuse would let go. He did recomend a temp ground from the neg post on batt to the alt mount untill I sort out ALL the ground points on...
Ah feels goog to have the Disco rollin again. Took the alt to the shop and they got diferent results with thier testing. At first they say it's "ok" but... a bit noisy so they let it run for 15 min on the test bench and sure enough it fails. Well new brushes, bearing's, reguletor and $75.00...
Oh I was fine just to continue on with my day, but.... when that SRS lamp came on it was fading fast. By the time I got the Disco to a stop 2-1/2 miles later (it was all down hill) it was protesting with spits and sputters. Now what concerns the most is that damned 100 amp fuse, why the hell did...
1998 D1 105000 mi.
Right, so there I was just motoring down the highway when I notice the tachometer is dancing all over the place. So I'm thinking I read on this forom some time ago that this means I should fimd a new altinator, no problem. But then the SRS lamp comes on and I know this truck...

Located in San Diego, Ca.
-Philip, who needs a lift.
I live in San Diego as well. Just replaced my BMW 540 and Ford Bronco with a 98D1. My hobbies ie.. R/C gliders and paragliding require getting to the tops of mountains. My truck is locked in low at least 4 days a week. I go to Blossom Valley and Horse Canyon.
