Good point...probably not the best place for a compressor (case in point is all the dead OEM compressors). I was contemplating making use of the location for but perhaps I would be better off removing the dead compressor and using the location for storing a snatch strap or something similar...

Pros for poly: Harder than rubber...give perhaps better road feel, but harsher ride. Cons for poly: NOISY...I don't care what formulation they use they always make noise and transmit vibration. Bottom line: Do NOT do it...
