I got a couple of heads machined and cleaned up a few years ago for $40 each. I'm with ptschram. Its definitely money well spent and in my book worth the piece of mind. Make sure you use new bolts as well, as they tend to stretch a bit during torquing process. Good luck!!
Is it the switch/stalk or could it be the relays? I've got the same problem and figured I'd swap out the relays since they are the easiest to be begin with...
Checked the wiring, fuses...and yes...it does have gas. ;) My wife has been the one having a hard time starting it as of late. Next time it happens, I'll listen to see if the pump is getting power.
