I agree with Nathan and the others: Dealer or PROPERLY equipped alignment shop that is familiar with late model Rovers (good luck finding one!). I have an early 05 and have it aligned every 6 months at the dealer. I now have 30k on my BFG AT KOs and they are looking good for 45-50kk. Take it...
Let's see, I currently have or have owned the following in the last 3 years - '76 IHC Scout II, '77 IHC Scout II, '93 Range Rover Classic, '05 LR3, '00 Range Rover, '99 Range Rover, and '99 DII.
Tell me how you are making that judgement of the LR3 again? Experience?
UPDATE: from the service manual on the big "F"-
The gear position indicator can also display automatic transmission fault information.
The following letters are displayed to relay the fault type to the driver:
? 'F' - Transmission Control Module (TCM) has a fault and is using the default...
I have a complete DII CDL shifter kit from a DI for $100 delivered to the lower 48. Comes with boot and instructions.
The DII it was going in burned.

I have an '05 LR3 with the factory trailer light harness installed by my dealer. Trailer tail lights worked when new. My manual shows a small fuse panel behind the left rear tail light in the same area as the trailer wiring harness connectors, but the panel does not exist and the wiring...
UPDATE: Front Pads and Front Wear Sensor Location
I let the fronts trigger the wear sensor so I had to change it. Part Number SEM000024, $26.00 delivered from British Atlantic. Use the same proceedure as the rear brakes. All torque values are the same. Find that thin wrench! I use a small...
The LR3 harness is a convertor. it includes the relays and the fuses are already installed. I suggested the convertor becuase they accomplish the same goal, isolate the truck wiring from the trailer wiring and loads, for 1/3 the cost.
I still would recommend the LR3 OE harness if the $$...
Buy the LR3 trailer harness. It is worth the cost and makes a neat installation with a 7 pin and a 4 pin connector mounted in the bumper. I used the adapters on my 99 and 2000 Range Rovers and on the 99 Discovery II and bought the factory harness for the LR3. I will use the factory harness...

Pep boys has them, U-haul does also. If you are pulling anything with more than 4 side marker lights you should get a "power convertor." It will not overload the lighting circuit...
Drove round trip to St. Petersburg, FL yesterday. 960 miles including a little in town on each end. Average speed 68.4 mph. Cruised at 80 (per GPS), avg mpg 16.6 mpg. 2 Adults, Heavy IHC Auto Transmission and transfer case in vehicle.
A little better than my 07 Tahoe with a 5.3 in it.
Towing a rigged out 99 DII on an 1800# trailer, I averaged 10.5 mpg. Total load was 8000#. Performance was good, not a GMC 2500 Sierra 6.0L, but very acceptable. Never felt the load was too much.
Ran it to Atlanta and back from Pensacola, FL on Friday to pick up a 2000 RR and averaged 19.7...
Good to hear! I'm still at 17.5+ avarage Hwy/City. Ran 65 miles to Mobile, AL this AM at 74 mph and averaged 17.8 mpg. I am going to check the air filter when I get it back from the dealer. They are replaceing the broken Air Compressor mount, it corroded through! Check and Clean out your...
Played with cruise control again yesterday. On the 45 mile trip w/o cruise, I got 19.5 at 60 on a curvy, hilly 2 lane highway. On the way back I used cruise and the mpg dropped to 16!
Does this average include trails? The roof rack is exponentially more costly in range (mpg) at higher speeds. It is a parasitic drag nightmare. :ack:
My averages do not include offroad. I use 10mpg for planning off road trips but usually see closer to 13 mpg.
