I checked the fluid im my tc while tracing down a whinning sound . The oil was a little over 1 1/2 yrs old. The oil came out brunt and had some metal flacks . I haven't had any problems shifing into low,from high and no problem or noise when locking the diff . I replaced the burnt oil with 80/90...

Don't laff , I'm new at this . The aux fan is starting to sound like another motor is trying to start up. If it goes out ,how difficult to replace . Also does the name auxillary fan mean there are two fans. My truck is an 03 DII

I have a whinning noise coming from the front of my truck. It only sounds when I'm under power. when I let off the accelerator,the noise stops. It really gets louder when the trucks warms up .

The noise I'm hearing has been discussed as possibly a aux fan motor noise . My question is this something that could put you on the side of the road ?

When I put the TS into low range , it goes in ,but with some difficulty . The netural gear light stays on and the bells keep ringing . It does feel like it is into low range .

I am experincing heat coming from the center consol on my 03 Disco. when this happens , both shifting levers get very hot . But this is only happens every now and then. There doesn't seem to be any one thing that causes this to happen .
