Took the Disco to JCs Rover in Denver and they tested the block and it checked out fine. They decided it was a valve issue and did a full valve job. Issue is fixed, cylinder 5 exhaust valve was full of carbon and sticking. Not a cheap easy fix but it did the trick. Only taking the Disco there...
Was yours misfiring in the same way if you let off the gas after accelerating? I have talked with an Indy rover shop in Denver that said coil packs either work or don't and that this didn't sound like a coil pack. I hope it is just a coil pack since that is easiest.
I have read a little about slipping liners on here before. Is it normal that a slipped liner would only cause a misfire under these very specific conditions? In all other driving conditions it runs very well. Also, if coolant is getting into the cylinder, wouldn't I have gotten a sign of that in...
Just replaced the plug wires with Magnecors and I am still getting the issue, the only remaining things I can think of would be a bad coil, valve issues, or an onboard computer issue. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
I have had the compression checked and it is good. Then did a fuel rail pressure test and it came back low around 32psi instead of 50psi per RAVE. Replaced the fuel pump and still have the issue. Then replaced the injector for cylinder 5, still there. Next is the plug wires, going to install...

P0305 - cylinder 5 misfire
P1319 - misfire detected with low fuel
P1412 - SAI system fault LH side, air not reaching catalysts
P1590 - ABS rough road (three amigos are on)
