I pulled the plugs out of my 96 discovery , they are RN11YC4. I went to 3 different stores and they wanted to sell me RC12MC4. Are these the correct plugs? They are the smaller hex nut size and look a little longer in the tip.

Set your handbrake before putting it in gear. That would stop any movement in the rear drive shaft.

Flex joint was my problem. Its weird that I could hear/feel more vibration in the front. Changed it out and vibration is gone. It was bad enough that the bolts from the driveshaft yoke were rubbing against rear end yoke. I agree the block lift accelerated the wear. Thanks :applause: :)

Not my front drive shaft, both u-joints are good, no play. How do I check my CV joint? Do I have to rip the hub apart to find out? Noise is definetly front drivers side.Kind of a grinding sound. Bearings? I guess I will have to tear it down to find out won't I?

I lost all fan speeds, blower would not go. It is now working. I'm hoping I can just clean it up also. Will let you know after I get into it, won't be for a couple of days. Maybe even a used replacement although they are hard to find here in Ontario, Canada. Otherwise I'll look into a new one...
