    Bridging ladders?

Hey Mike, Thanks for the post. We sure agree with both your determinations: Bulletin Board pitching comes with lots of heat ? yet it refines ones presentation skills? And, yes, LR owners are far from being early adapters of anything :-))) (This might explain the claim that 75% of LR ever...

    Bridging ladders?

With 15" rear-axle to ground, no doughty wafflebords are the solution best fit for you and your vehicle. And apparently you have enough room to carry them and the additional jacking device (hi-lift / X-jack or other). Most probably they are the best solution for Antichrist, who opened this...

    Bridging ladders?

Couldn't be better said, (plus an equipped vehicle: diffloc, suspension, tires etc.) Yet, the more trained the driver is ,and the more the vehicle is equipped, the less need is there for recovery gear. Not all drivers select the best path, not all vehicles are fully equipped. Some may find...

Thank you for the credit Rubinger, but if we were so sophisticated we would probably be working in the High Tech industry... :)

Got in today: http://norcalfjs.ning.com/video/grmhick-getting-unstuck And yes, he could have climbed through with a diff.lock and/or longer suspension and/or larger tires and/or .... Video taken in Nor. Cal. not staged :patriot:

    Hot Dawg!

Now, out of pure curiosity? Had a chat with the gas company and it goes like this: Propane is usually preferred over Butane for its freezing temperature and operating pressure yet it is much more expensive. They both hold the same explosion hazards in case of leakage, so they both can be...

    Hot Dawg!

Well, went out and checked, Apparently tanks here are filled with a mixture of Butane and Propane. May be this explains something.... (Did not take a photo of the buried tank... :-) )

    Hot Dawg!

I don't really know. It is kind of regulation or something. I guess some engineer could explain that. Tanks the size you described are usually buried about 6 feet under ground, I never saw them on ground. I guess the risk is explosion following a gas leak and a random spark of some sort...

    Hot Dawg!

Well done. We usually surround propane tanks with a 6" think, U shaped cement barrier, just for safety (this tank could blow up a 5 floor brick building within seconds). The older system was placing sand sacks around it and between it and the building wall; this reduces the chances of fire...

    Bridging ladders?

I am not brave enough to cross a 4' wide 6' deep ravine with 4.9' long waffles :-) Point taken for the "Anything" (Scrolling back to the first page of this thread I just noticed waffles were my first recommendation for pure bridging...)

    Bridging ladders?

The sand under the wheels was cleared by hands since the wheels were spinning freely (zero traction) and the sand was soft ? the Pillowtrack is only about 1/2" in height when deflated. Pillowtrack recovery is just like any classic recovery in terms of methodology and safety: sand was...

    Bridging ladders?

No sarcasm intended, apologies if it was implied. We speak with off-roaders from all aroun the world, hence we state the location to provide a scoop of the terrain, vehicles and legal aspecs of off-roading. (Off roading was there way before Israel was born...) Thanks and LEHITRAHOT.

Usually we recover KIAs with Helium filled Mickey Mouse balloons, but the kid wouldn't let go, so we had to use the pillowtracks :-)

    Bridging ladders?

Never claimed Pillowtrack will do it all (we are not that dumb...) It just does more recovery for less hassle and less weight. Thanks for stating it so clearly :D

    Bridging ladders?

In the attached photos the vehicle was stuck high centered on the dune top. The tiers are AT 215/70/15 (max allowed by law) Tiers were deflated to 16PSI before getting stuck The skid plates, all the way to the rear axle, where on the sand. All 4 wheels lost traction. The Pillowtracks were...

No, as a matter of fact I am logged on to the Internet most of time - have no idea what 4x4 is all about .... Pillowtrack is based on experience, not JPEG speculation.
