I'd check the connections first. Clean and make sure the wires are not cracked/damaged. If the wires are okay, then bench test your starter. All you need is jumper cables. Here's a link to a youtube vid on showing how. If it spins every time you test, then it's fine. If it's working off/on while...
Out here in WA some of the cops are just as environmental as hippies, so they issue tickets for modified cat-less vehicles. Do what i did on my k2500. Since the disco and my k2500 sat kind of high it was not necessary for the cops to hassle crawling down to look. A quick peek below was enough...
if you're getting a disco you'd better get familiar with wrench'n or have deep pockets for the dealer. ask yourself if it's going to be your daily driver and/or how far you got to drive to work. at best you'll be getting 14mpg hwy!!! :banghead: as much as i love my disco i'm selling it when i...

My 95 had 153k org when the pump went out. Figured since i had 1/2 the topend off might as well do the timing and heads too. Gasket kit with head bolts $200, refinish heads $150, timing chain/gear $30, and h2o pump $100. Runs like a champ and only cost me $500 for topend rebuild. Not bad i think

I've used the brand from schucks to remove 3 layers of paint from a bodykit. Obviously wear glove, wear a mask, and use in well ventilated area. The fumes felt like it was burning my nose hairs. I used a paint brush to apply because it went on like a gel. And within 1min it started bubbling up...
Just get new bolts, lock washers, and vaseline it. That's what i've always done. You're supposed to run it a few days and re-torque exhaust bolts anyways.
