On my 99 D2 the ebrake switch must have failed as the BRAKE indicator on the dash stays on all the time, even though the brake is off. Does anyone know where this switch is located?
Yep the Aussies and landyforum set me straight... That rod bends ever so slightly and makes the button bind. I was able to get a flat blade screw driver up from the bottom and straighten the rod and it fixed the issue.
I removed my center console today to replace my heater core, now the hand brake does not catch, its like the little mechanism is not working I can't find a spring or anything, but when I press the release button in it just stays in. Any help is appreciated.
I noticed that the right rear door speakers have no sound, neither one. I am assuming both of these are driven by the same channel on the amplifier and since neither have any sound at all, that it is most like a blown channel on the amp. This is a Harmon/Kardon system. Thoughts?
Just wanted to say thanks to you guys, it was absolutely the front shaft, have pulled it out, enabled the CDL and she is smooth as could be. Found the rebuild procedure and am off to do some repairs.
Thanks again!
How do you mean lock the center diff? I am pretty sure mine does not have that option. And when you say don't drive around with the DS doing that, you mean with the Driveshaft acting up like it is?
1999 D2, stock. Been driving fine, engine is smooth, but have developed a nasty drive line vibration, it's not tires, but this is either tranny, t-case or drive shafts.
Starts slightly at 28 mph, gets into full swing between 30-40 mph then smooths out. When it's at it's worst it's really...
We had the Kalahari bumper on our D2. But we had a slight fender bender, but now I can't find anyone that carries it. It's no longer listed Atlantic British's website. Anyone else have any other idea if this bumper is still available.
One of the little fastener that holds the sunroof glass to the rail on my D2 is missing. Does anyone know of a part number for these little things? Missing the outer and inner parts of the fastener.
I've got about 47k miles on a set of EBC slotted and dimpled rotors and the front just recently warped. Is it possible to have he slotted and dimpled rotors turned?
I just put a much stiffer spring on the latch mechanism on the side and it has helped quite a bit but I can sill pull the seat back loose with out pulling on the release.
99 D2 rear seat back on the passenger side is not latching into place. Any ideas on how to fix? I have the panels off and see the latches, lubed them but it's still not latching. the bottom of the seat latches but the seat back is not, this is a safety issue for my kids and need to fix asap.
Re: What are these lights telling me? - Amigos
So now that I know the Amigos.....
When the engine is off, but the ignition is on, I hear a pump that is going consistently. It sounds like it is coming from behind the dash, say mounted to the firewall. I can faintly hear it with the hood up but...
1999 D2. On the dash the ABS light, the traction control light (TC) and the down hill descent light are all yellow and lit. They will not turn off even after a battery disconnect. Everything drives and acts fine.
