Front driver side coil spring on 2000 DII. There's nothing obviously loose, drives fine and sits level. The springs are Terrafirma HD +2 and are about 5 years old.
It's like the axle isn't straight but all the radius arm bushes seem ok. Maybe I'll exchange the front springs from side to side...

Are these hubs any good?
I put a Proline hub ($300) on the RF about 2 years ago and it just failed. It was the most recently replaced hub...
I have had an aftermarket Alpine head unit installed for about 8 years.
All of my speakers stopped working. I tested some of the speakers by bypassing the amp and they work fine. So I suppose my amp is shot.
Does anyone have any tricks to prove that the amp is actually dead?
Getting ready to do the head gaskets and I wondering what's the best method to clean the deck(s). I have seen posts about it before but can't find them now. Scotchbrite?
0-30 PSI Pressure Gauge
1/4" Ball Valve
5/16" - 1/4" Hose Barb Connectors
1/4" Cap
5/16" ID - Fuel Line
1/4" Air Hose Fittings
I used the air gun handle for more filling control and the ball valve as a lock.
This was cheap and worked for me.
I showed this in another thread but thought it...
I have been testing for a parasitic draw on my DII. I get a value of 0.06 A on my meter when I remove the negative battery lead and connect the meter in series between the terminal and post. All doors closed and no key in the ignition. Is this too high?
Any advice on getting air out of the heater core? I've read lots on the subject but can't get it done. No loss of coolant overheating etc., just sloshing noise.
Anyone recommend a vacuum bleed/fill tool that will work with a DII?
I like the look of a skinny tire and really want to run 235/85/16 tires on my D2. The problem is that I can't find a 16x7 steel wheel to fit the vehicle. There are no P38 spare wheels to be found anywhere on the internet. I've investigated the 94-96 Camaro steel wheels but they are actually...
I replaced the alternator a few days ago. This morning I was driving and the voltage reading on my Scangauge dropped to 12.2, but the battery light was not illuminated. I went home and checked with a multimeter across the battery terminals with the engine running and the reading was 13.8. Looked...
My battery/charge light is on when I start. It goes out when I briefly rev the engine, then stays out. I have verified that the battery is good and the alternator is not charging when the light is on. After a shot of gas the voltage goes from 11.6 (light on not charging) to 13.8. I have ordered...
My passenger side rear door lock seems op operate OK, however it's a bit sluggish. The problem is that sometimes even when the lock tab is in the up position the door won't open from the inside or out. Will a new actuator be needed to solve the problem or is there some adjustment I can make?
Older Audi V8s have a ZF 4HP24A transmission and DII's have a ZF 4HP22/24. My question is, are the fluids interchangeable? I have a quantity of Genuine VW 052 162 A2 fluid and I'm curious about using it in my DII.
I'm really having trouble cross-referencing it. I'm presently using Mobil 1 ATF...
Does anyone know what the thread is on the transfer case shift lever/knob on a 2004 DII?
Mine is stripped, it's annoying. I'm away from home/vehicle but have access to a wide variety of heilicoils and would like to fix it when I get home.
Can someone please have a look and tell me if this fuel pressure test kit will work on my 2000 DII?

It was a Friday afternoon and I was changing the oil. We had planned to do a fair amount of driving over the weekend. I noticed that the oil drain plug was stiff to turn while I was removing it. When I was replacing it, it wouldn't tighten. Upon removal again I confirmed all the threads on the...
