This conversion has been successfully done before. No cutting that I know of. The only consideration out of the ordinary is that you have to beef up the front springs to handle the extra weight of the iron block.

A quick search of the BBS here shows A/C Delco part # is EP-241 GMC. AKA GM part # 25116163. Don't know what year. Any parts counter should be able to cross-reference those OEM numbers to their aftermarket pump. Just don't tell them it's for a Land Rover, or they'll charge you double!
