    waterpump bolt leak

That's what I thought. This isn't my first rodeo. I have tried every brand of sealant out there, chased the threads, cleaned the bolts.. It is definitely coming from between the timing cover and block, right about where the gasket should be. I'm going to pull the cover and see what's going on...

    waterpump bolt leak

Okay, so I replaced my water pump, and now I am getting a small stream of coolant leaking between the timing cover and the block at the top long bolt. I've tried RTV, thread sealer, Right Stuff, cleaning the threads, cleaning the bolts.. nothing will fix this. HELP!

    P1590 on a Discovery II

read up on the sensors. there is a rubber o-ring like bushing on them that degrade over time and it's enough to cause a random fault, or your wheel bearing could be just loose enough to cause some random faults. I would pull the sensor, take a look at the reluctor rings for rust/gunk, and reseat...

Make the ACE light go away!

I pulled mine and reconfigured the BECM with my Nanocom. You just tell the car that it isn't installed and the light goes away. The BECM is the same for all cars and the ACE was an upgrade, so I assume a T4 can do the same.

    What winch do you run?

I run the Warn M12000 winch. Works great, always have a couple extra Solenoids with me; they are what fail at inopportune times in my experience. The only major downside is that the stock alternator does not provide the required current to get the winch to full pulling power. I don't currently...

    Key Fob question

Does anyone know if you can modify a P38 keyfob to work in a Disco II? Or, can I get the transponder from my Disco fob in the RR housing? I'd love to have a fob with the flip key...

How to Reseal a DII Power Steering Pump

Great write-up. I did mine a few months ago, but just used gasket material and RTV.. It's held up quite nicely after the OEM one burst in the work parking lot, draining my entire system all over the asphalt...

rough idle issue has me stumped

I'll check the fuel pressure and potential leak-down. I checked all grounds, the harness is a new one out of another truck. It seems to me like the engine is running too rich across the board and one cylinder is richer than the rest. The plug doesn't look steam cleaned, but def cleaner than...

rough idle issue has me stumped

Fire happened as I was driving down the freeway towing a car trailer. The pressure hose burst and the fan sprayed the ace fluid all over the hot engine resulting in the oil catching fire and melting a lot of plastic stuff. After putting it back together thanks to many parts from Will, the...

rough idle issue has me stumped

Slightly rough idle especially once warm. All plugs are sooty black, with the exception of cylinder 3 - it is wet. Codes are only showing bad O2 sensor on the driver's side bank. I've replaced the coils twice (long story), plugs are Champions, and wires are brand new Kingsborne. I'm...

    ignition switch?

so the car starts fine, but when I turn it off.. the switch will turn of the engine off from the "run" position ,but when I turn the key to the "off" position from the "accessory" position, everything momentarily turns off and then comes back on. What's interesting is my radio has full...

    ACE removal

Do I need to install an idler pulley if I remove the pump completely? Mine broke and I've decided the hell with this system, it's the highest maintenance thing on the truck. I keep finding conflicting info on different forums re the idler pulley

    ACE removal

Searched high and low. Outside the controversy behind removing it, anyone done it that can offer some advice or hints? I have the pump off the car and and taking the rest off and putting regular sway bars with end links I can disconnect when offroad.

    Needed in SC

Anyone in or around Columbia, SC have a hawkeye or RovaCom or similar that can calibrate an ACE sensor? I have a BBS Nanocom but I am not sure it's actually calibrating the accelerometer and I want to try and rule this out before trying another sensor

    can"t figure out a po455 evap leak

what are you using for a code reader? I was using an Actron and getting the same code consistently, replaced some stuff and did a smoke test, no leaks. Bought a Nanocom Evo and the code pulled was actually for an O2 sensor - replaced that and have had no problems.
