Fuel line on the fuel pump might have a puncture in it. Saying that mine was collapsing was incorrect. It had a puncture.

Check the fuel line on the fuel pump itself. My 95 D1 would barely start and then run poorly. I pulled the pump and the 5/16 fuel line on the pump had delaminated and was collapsing under pressure.

I used a Opcon 1.1 Liter supercharger with an Accel Digital Fuel Injection system on a 4.6 I had built for my 95 D1. It has been extremely reliable and makes some great power.
