Replaced the serpentine belt last night. The old one had 2 or 3 of the ribs shagged off the back edge of the belt. The new one did the same thing after a few minutes. Pulley alignment? Any popular fixes for this?

I tried to open my rear sunroof yesterday, and it only opens the first step where it pops up. It won't slide back at all. It moves up and down like it's dragging, or like the battery's weak. The front one works fine. Maybe it won't slide back because it's not moving up all the way. Any ideas?
