Another shot of my fat juicy knee after the 2nd reconstruction 3 months after the LCL was done. Lot of entry points!!![/IMG]
Wish I had my other knee in that pic for a side x side. Sadly while it doesn't look quite that bad today, it is still swollen and twice the size of my left knee. It...
I have to say, the LR3 LR4 just doesn't do it for me. I really miss my D2 though. This am when I walked into the garage and it wasn't there, I got a little sad.
Who knows what the future holds? Now that I know that I can move the seat back on the rails a few inches, that is a difference maker...
As for vans.....I really love lifted 4x4 vans. We had one when I was a little kid. This where I was going with it, except I want a passenger van with tinted windows all around. I like being able to see when things go bump in the night.

That Gatorade bottle you see on the left was my pee bottle! 32oz at a minimum is required unless you like getting up in the cold in the early morning.....
Actually I slept awesome in my Disco. I put a plywood cover on the roof rack over the rear sunroof so no water ever got in after that. And it rained every day in AK. I removed the rear driver side passenger seat completely for the trip. My platform was even with the top of rear storage boxes...
Actually I was getting a 4x4 van right before I got hurt and my wife ended my 15 yr racing career. Van was the shit for hauling bikes and sleeping at the races. It is still an option though. However, I need a break from working on shit. Going to roll with Tundra until I figure out what will be...
Agreed. That angle actually fucked with my knee the entire trip. I had to slip my left toes under my right foot to take the pressure off my LCL. That is how fucked up my knee is. I completely tore all 4 ligaments. The ACL, LCL, MCL, PCL and the Meniscus. Plus dislocated the lower leg completely...
I already have a Tundra and a 2dr Jeep. I just needed something 4x4 to sleep in that could also haul my wife and kid around while on vacation. The Disco was perfect for that.
Does the Defender have more leg room for the driver? I can see myself picking up a hardtop Defender someday. I really liked the one's I saw at TRS in Calgary. They were badass.
That was the original plan. Just to buy it for the trip, then sell it in Sept when I got back. I gave it a few extra months bc I was attached to it bc of all the work/effort and the great experience I had in it. In the end, I'm too big and I'm very scrunched up in the driver seat. Combine that...
I sold Whitey yesterday. I want to thank you fellas for helping me out and answering all my stupid questions. I never would have made it to Alaska and back in the Disco without the insight and info from DiscoWeb and it's members. In fact, DiscoWeb was the only reason I even attempted such a...
Yeah you are right. It is 3 steps. Good catch. I've compared this Duratrac to the oem tire and it exceeds it though. I haven't tackled anything other than dirt forest roads. I'm usually solo and I don't have a winch. So I limit my risks.
Check it out. I know these are not full on MT's, but I found these 255/70/18 Duratracs. The are load range "B".

Just as tall as my Terra Grappler AT's, but a good bit narrower. Which is what I want. They also weigh only...
