So this is a new and odd one for me. All of the sudden if I am at a very slow speed, like when parking, or stopped, the steering when turning right locks up half way. It turns left fine, it's not hitting anything as far as I can tell, the power steering pump whines a bit like it's at full lock...
Re: '96 Discovery, no start, no power to the fuel pump, not the relay or inertia switch
The connector behind the right rear wheel was the first I checked. I have had problems with that one in the past. The wire is hot before it goes behind the dash, and not hot after. The rave schematic doesn't...
Re: '96 Discovery, no start, no power to the fuel pump, not the relay or inertia switch
I found what the connectors are, the only one that is a possibility is c277, behind the fuse panel under the steering wheel. I'm checking it out now, any other thoughts please chime in.

I know there have been some other posters with similar problems. I'm in a pretty big bind being away from home, and thought if I could get any extra help, it would be very appreciated.
I'm working down in Albuquerque. The other day drove to work just fine, and when I went to go...
I'm looking for a few items for my '96 Discovery
Carpet - tan int. I'm looking for some front carpet in good condition. Mines pretty trashed, and I'd like to replace it with something not all ripped up and stained, but at a decent price if I can find it.
Rear Sunroof - Rear sunroof copper...
Well, mines been worse than the carwash, mines been doing it for about three weeks. A friend at the dealership said to check that sensor, I swapped it with the one on my other rover, and then it was working, and the other rover wasn't. Leaves me pretty confident that that was the problem.
Fixed it on mine, it ended up being the large relay in the engine compartment between the charcoal canister and the wiper fluid resevoir. Kind of trapazoidal mounted to teh side wall there.
I'm having the same problem. She dies when driving, doesn't start half of the time, and now I have a relay under the passenger side of the dash that's clicking when the ignition is in the on and starting position. I tried replacing the relay, and it still clicks, and doesn't start. Any idea's...
Good Luck, Mine slipped once, so I drained the fluid, and found it full of shavings and smelling burnt, It's all been a fun replacement project from there.
Hey Seth, I've had one heck of a time trying to get ahold of you. Even tried stopping by but no one was home. I really need those jack stands back bro. Trying to put my own transmission in. Sending you another pm as well with my cell, give me a call.
Thanks,
Ryan
No, I didn't know I needed too. I checked the numbers on the transmission, and they all match up, so I just assumed the output shafts would be the same. Do I need to switch output shafts?
I'm throwing a rebuilt transmission in my '96 Discovery and having a slight problem. I got the transfer case splines to line up, and slide most of the way on, but when I get down to about 3/4 of an inch to mate up the surfaces, I can't for the life of me get the transfer case to go on any more...
I've played around at the Coral Pink Sand Dunes down there, there's a few trails, just some mild but senic ones that we found. I don't actually have a map or know the names.
Have Fun
