These feet are just for R&D. I have a different version at the laser cutter now. Will be more hourglass/hippy looking. This rack will never be sold. It will end up being cut apart after I have it where I want it. Too many cuts and tacks. I like 2 cut/welds per perimeter. I'd shoot for one...

If the one above had side rails, the floor plan is (ID X ID) 52" x 85". The width of a sheet of plywood is always in the R&D designs... HA! :D J

Blue, thank you for the kind words and your input. Yes, now that the front of the rack has been revised I will be able to get the B, C and D pillar dead centered and the A pillar slight back of center. I started on my rear bumper this morning. Should have the base model pretty close to...

Thanks for the input on the SD rack Chris. I'm on a few of the Rover boards now and don't plan on going anywhere. ;) I'm not new to public forums, been around them for over 10 years and have lost track of the thousands of posts I've made. Many build threads, technical help, misc projects and...

Thanks, I'm in Green River, Wyoming. My wife is from the Poughkeepsie area and went to Syracuse. I have no use for bad attitudes. It doesn't help me, my family or my customers one bit. At the end of the day it makes me feel good that someone is getting a product they want and chose me to...

That 5% is truly all I'm interested in and even selling a rack or bumper occasionally is ok as well. I have plenty of work and orders from my other communities. I never had any Rover products on my website and receive as many inquiries on non-existent products than items I offer. So, I know...

I see a similarity in all those racks including the one I'm working on now. Plain and simple, I might only satisfy 1-5% of the market. I can tell already that you and a few others are in that 95-99%. That doesn't hurt my feelings one bit. That's business and the way of the world. It's no...

Anymore tweaks and I might as well just copy a Baja, Voyager etc.. and build a full basket into the top. However, unless a customer wants a full basket, I'll never build one. They are too tall and bulky, IMO. I personally don't like to be restricted by the upper rail surround. Jason

Here is the revision and where it will stay until the jig is made to address a couple of other things. Need to bring the lower front bar down approx. 5/8", change the angle about 5 degrees should get it where it needs to be. Thanks all, Jason

Well I'm not the typical fabricator... I don't get pissed and throw a tantrum when EVERYONE thinks something different from me. :D Critique is what makes a product great IMO. I'm new to Rovers and REALLY like the feedback. Makes the next guy that buys something from me happy and I get free...

Front will be addressed tomorrow. Rear upper tube is about 1-1.5" inside inside the roof line. And I will make a length specific D2 version once I get a few things ironed out, approx. 6-3/4" longer. Thank you for the comments Jason
