    Here's a video, kinda long, that will show you how to fix the leak. Start at about the 10 minute mark. The lighting is not the best and the camera angle is also not the best, but the information is genuine.

    Use a piece of vacume hose to find intake and exhaust leaks. Put a piece of thin brake line on the end of it, and then put the other end next to, not in, your ear. Run the metal tube around and all over the engine and when you get near the leak, you will hear it loudly.

    Make sure the tstat is installed in the right direction, and as previously said, drill a small (1/16") hole in the topmost portion of it.

    The sure fire way to find an exhaust leak is: Take a piece of brake line, like 12", and put a small bend 2" from the end. Then, attach a long piece of vacume line to the steel brake line.     Cylinder head removal problems

    Check the height of your heads. Because the valley pan is also the intake gasket, the heads can only be milled but so much. I do not have that spec handy. If you mill too much then the intake ports will not align with the gasket properly. Also, check for valve to piston clearance after milling.
