All I can do is laugh at this thread...laugh all the way to the bank. I really don't care what people thought of my truck but most who saw it in person gave it positive remarks...including the guy who bought it. It was built when I was poor in college and it what it is.
It is gone, and I am...

Always get off the highway, no matter what happens. I know a person who got far off the shoulder but still on the highway, with a flat tire. A car lost control and hit him changing the tire. Lost both of his legs and now is in a wheel chair for the rest of his life.
I would replace the fan just to be safe, you don't want one of those nicks to turn into a crack sending one of the blades through your radiator, hoses or hood. You will also need to find out where the coolant came from to make sure you didnt burst something (like the little radiator cap).
The 3 bolts attach to a hub that is pressed on the pump. You need a puller to pull the hub off and either a press or a big vise to put the hub on the new pump.
It was always my understanding that ARBs claim to fame was that it was designed to take an impact with a kangaroo in the outback and not total the vehicle.
I would not use that stuff as if your tires are balanced properly, you will not need it. If you put it in and it doesn't work (from most of the responses I have read), it's not simply a matter of just rebalancing your tires, you need to dismount the tire and get that crap out of there.
I prefer function over looks. A rack that steps down in the middle is not very practical for my use, as I didn't make it so I could pretend that I am in CT. IMO most racks that follow the roof line stick up way too much, making them look ridiculous
I will agree with this but the new one needed 200 grams (7 oz) for it run smooth. Which is about normal for my others as well. The one that was bad had way more weight and still never could be balanced. I don't have a local dealer, so I ordered them from Four Wheel Parts with free shipping.
Thanks guys....A rack like mine was also fairly easy to build IMO...it took me 8 hours to build it not including painting, but that also includes designing and measuring. Once I had an exact measurement for each bent crossbar, bending the others didn't take much time. The part that took the...
Just one tire that they couldn't balance. They dismounted it a few times and tried rotating it on the rim and it still wouldn't balance right. This is the second tire from my set of 5 that have had to be warrantied out...the first one never was even mounted, it came with a gouge in the bead, but...
