SO... the relay's blown again-2 weeks later. Anyone else's rover eating SLS relays? I'm trying to anticipate what's next... Is the compressor about to crap out? If anyone else has had trouble w/ popping these relays, let me know if you solved it by anything other than a coil conversion. Thanks, Doug

Bump-- I too have a recurring P0440... also have emissions testing coming up soon. can't seem to keep the code at bay. Comes back after fuel tank fill-up... when the truck idles rough for a second or 2 on restart (immediately after the fill-up) then, after i goose it a little, all is right...

I had luck with placing the gas cap over the lip of the inlet tube, just enough so that the "emissions collar" at the gas pump stays up... It seems that having a tight fit with that collar caused the pump to switch off every time. Letting some air in there seemed to help me. Works about 85-90%...
