How to diagnose a bad SLS compressor

SO... the relay's blown again-2 weeks later. Anyone else's rover eating SLS relays? I'm trying to anticipate what's next... Is the compressor about to crap out? If anyone else has had trouble w/ popping these relays, let me know if you solved it by anything other than a coil conversion. Thanks, Doug

How to diagnose a bad SLS compressor

OK... Reading another post, I was looking at fuses not relays... found the burnt 30A fuse under the hood, replaced it and the pump kicked on. put it all back together and proclaimed "RISE!" but my arrogance got the better of me and it got about 1/2" lift (from the bumpstops) and stopped... I...

How to diagnose a bad SLS compressor

Bless you, KDamericano! :applause: Man, that is exactly what I was looking for. I even thought if the compressor was seized up, I could find an air tank to hook up... As soon as the ice melts (st. louis) I'm going to squeeze under the rig (not so easy w/ the tail sagging) and check it out! Very...

Thanks guys. Hoping it does not come to that... Auto logic? sounds expensive... looking for simple man's garage tools diagnosis. Have a multi-meter (and more importantly, a nuclear engineer to help me read it).

I know, I know... I should switch to coils... Wife's rig... She likes the posh ride:D . So, here's the problem. The rear is sagging and it is NOT the bags (not to the bumpstops yet). I activate the lift button on the dash, and the pump does NOT come on (yes, doors are closed). (So I can't blame...

    Fueling difficulty

I had luck with placing the gas cap over the lip of the inlet tube, just enough so that the "emissions collar" at the gas pump stays up... It seems that having a tight fit with that collar caused the pump to switch off every time. Letting some air in there seemed to help me. Works about 85-90%...
