hmm..well i've got a 96 and no auto dimming (no wires anyway)... the mirror mount was broken off when i got the truck and it had an aftermarket mirror on it. now i just got a new windshield..

...for my 96. non-dimming, etc... just a plain ol' mirror. I bought one from a 94 but the mounting was different :-/ thanks! (also looking for 8 oem lugs)

did you check the factory trailer plug? maybe something is shorting out back there? its accessible from the panel behind the passenger side tail light.

the ones facing back are reflectors, the ones on the sides should come on with the parking lights/headlights... check the bulbs and fuses..i think each side is fused separately..

In addition to the oem 7 pin plug behind the tail light, are there two other wires floating around in there? I'd have to go out and look, but I believe it is purple and has constant power. Just did this install on my D1 a few weeks ago.

i thought i saw somewhere that there is supposed to be a GM equivalent.... havent been able to find a part number/model/etc..

anyone know a cheap replacement for the D1 charcoal replacement... a LR specific one with the purge valve is like $200 :-/

figured out that the noise i heard is probalby the safety valve at the tank releasing the pressure...

charcoal canister replacement? 96 D1.... after driving for awhile.. i get a loud buzzing in the back of the truck... i assumed it was the fuel pump going bad, but after reading a few posts...i'm not 100% sure now.. i've also been getting excessive pressure build up in the gas tank...so this...

bottom two as in the bumper or bottom two as in the bottom of the upper taillight? if you're talking about in the upper tail light, i think those are the rear fog lights, if memory serves. if they're the bottom..maybe check the fuse.. these are separately fused from the brake lights..

thanks.. i've got the pdf service manual, but not the rave cd.. i'll take a look for it. did some testing, and in addition to the usual 4 wire hookups, was able to get reverse, ground, and constant power out of the plug... so only had to run the brake controller wire to the back...

anyone have a diagram of what ALL 7 of the wires are in the factory harness? i'm connecting a 7 pin harness for a small trailer with electric brakes, and was hoping i could use more of these wires, and have to run less up to the front (have to run one for the brake controller, regardless I...
